03.25.14 – Tuesday – Open 14.5 Sneak Peek

Ok, guys, I can’t tell you how I got this (it may or may not involve incriminating photos of Dave Castro, a llama, 3 midgets, and 20 kilos of pure Mexican black tar heroin), but I have the inside scoop on 14.5. It’s a whopper of a WOD — if you thought 14.4 was new and unusual for the Open, you haven’t seen anything yet. Don’t tell anybody I told you this, but here’s what’s coming:

CrossFit Open 14.5 is…

38 min AMRAP:
20 handstand pushups
125 double-unders
300m llama carry (if any of the llama’s hooves touch the ground, you must re-start the carry)
10 Cumbia Funks
Touch your nose with your tongue

That’s a brutal WOD that really pushes the limit of what fitness is all about. Personally, I’m excited to give it a go!

Oh, and there are some special validation rules for 14.5, as well. In order to have a valid score, you must submit photo evidence that you have a tattoo of the CrossFit logo, Pukie the Clown, or the phrase “Forging Elite Fitness” on a visible part of your body. Some people will balk at this requirement, but I get it. It’s branding. If you want a slammin’ CrossFit body, it’s only fair that you be willing to attribute the source of your success!

Get ready for 14.5… It’s going to be epic!
